During the course of 2009 we certainly experienced new challenges incorporating the latest technology in equine medicine and surgery while facing the
uncertainty of economic downturn.
Some of the highlights of last year included the purchase of PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) technology which combined with our ongoing use of Stem Cell therapy allowed us to incorporate regenerative medicine into our treatment protocols for tendon and ligament injuries. Using ultra-sound guided techniques, better
quality healing with shorter recuperative times have been reported extensively in the literature.
