Toronto Equine Hospital offers in-house diagnostics, surgery, shockwave therapy, 3-D ultrasonography and nuclear scintigraphy.
Our team is lead by Dr. Darryl Bonder and Dr. Peter Vatcher.


 Dr. Darryl Bonder

Dr. Bonder has lectured around the world on arthroscopic surgery and equine orthopedics. He is a recipient of the Fowler Award for the highest proficiency in equine medicine and surgery. Since graduating from the University of Guelph in 1977 with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, he has obtained Certificates for the study of Internal Fixation at Ohio State University, Arthroscopic Surgery at Colorado State University and Nuclear Medicine at the University of Illinois. A past president of the Ontario Association of Equine Practitioners, he is currently a member of the Federal Drug Advisory Committee to Racetrack Canada.

 Dr. Peter Vatcher
A Veterinarian specializing in equine care and partner at the Toronto Equine Hospital, Dr. Vatcher is also recognised for having developed and taught equine studies at Humber College. Dr. Vatcher graduated with honours as Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Guelph in 1985. He is a polo enthusiast and avid cyclist.

The Team
Dr. Bonder and Dr. Vatcher are supported by a team of fourteen medical staff including anesthetists, Registered Veterinary Technicians, administrative support staff and closely supervised volunteers and students.
